Tree topping = butchering a tree. It is one of the worst "practices" and by removing a tree's canopy, makes it more dangerous, leaving it susceptible to pest, disease, sun scald, poor quality growth and more. Indiscriminate chopping of limbs also makes trees look ugly and unnatural.
